Cosplay Portfolio

My journey into cosplay started in 2015 after I bought my first sewing machine. I followed YouTube videos and would visit my local thrift store and make cosplays just for fun. It wasn’t until 2017 that I cosplayed at Dragon Con for the first time in public. After that, I was hooked. Cosplay has been a huge confidence boost and I enjoy learning new techniques to recreate characters. I love going to different conventions around the United States, and not only showing my work but seeing everyone else’s work too. So here’s my cosplay portfolio it’s a selection of my best cosplay builds since 2017.

Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films. I couldn’t resist building a cosplay for the main charter Sans. The mask is sculpted out of paper clay and hand-painted.

I grew up watching Dragon Ball on Toonami so I had to add one of my favorite characters from the series to my cosplay portfolio. I enjoy making props so I don’t have a lot of casual cosplay in my portfolio. And Bulma was a perfect addition since it’s easy to travel with. Inosuke Hashibira

Demon Slayer is one of my favorite anime series. I haven’t worked much with faux fur or with building weapons. So I decided to build an Inosuke cosplay as a challenge. Building the boar mask was messy and building the katanas was easier than I thought it was going to be. I’m happy with how it turned even with me being a novice. I’m looking forward to doing more builds using what I learned from building this cosplay.Himiko Toga
