Things run a lot smoother when you have a plan. So sit down and make a plan for thanksgiving dinner. Figure out who you’ll invite and what you’re going to cook and how much food you’re going to need.
Shop Early
The days leading up to Thanksgiving grocery stores get busy or sold out of the things you’ll need to make thanksgiving dinner. Once you have your menu set and how many guests you’ll have. Start making a shopping list and get your shopping out of the way early.
Prepare in Advance
There are a few dishes that you can make ahead of time and easily warm-up while your cooking other dishes are cooking. For example, desserts and side dishes can be made ahead of time to cut down on cooking Thanksgiving.
Ask for Help
Don’t be afraid yo ask your guest for help. Have your guest set the table, bring dishes, or help clean up. You don’t have to take on everything by yourself and your guests will be more than willing to help out where they can.

LOVE this planner! Do you possibly do one for Christmas? That would be so helpful!
Thank you! Yes, I’m working one for Christmas so stay tuned for that. 😀
Great tips to make a great Thanksgiving. I believe, like you that when everyone helps it makes it enjoyable for everyone. We let everyone bring a dish and that way we are sharing all the cooking. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Thanks for stopping by and I’m glad you like the tips. Some of my fondest Thanksgiving memories are those were my family and friends came to help and make the day special. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Your planner is so cute, organized and very well detailed. This would be useful for other important holiday dinners like Christmas and Easter!🍴 I like how you have a space for who’s coming and what they’re bringing. Plus, your tip about letting guest bring items really takes the pressure off of cooking EVERYTHING. I think I would let guests bring desserts. It’s ALWAYS fun to see what new sweet treats to try during the holidays 😁👏🏾We usually grill our turkey ahead of time so all the seasoning marinates well together.

Thank you! Having guests bring dishes certainly helps take some of the pressure off and you get to try something new. Especially when it’s a sweet treat.
These are some great tips. I would’ve never thought about a Thanksgiving planner! That was such a great idea ♥
