Building a Vision Board

Building a Vision Board

We all have goals in life that we’re trying to achieve. It’s not always easy staying focused on our goals. Things don’t always go as planned, we get thrown off track, and lose focus on our goals. One way to help us stay focused is by making a vision board. They help you visualize your goals and remind you to stay on track. When you can visualize then you can achieve it. Holiday Felt Garland

Holiday Felt Garland

Christmas is upon us, and this year I won’t be able to do much. My new place will be available for move-in on Christmas eve, so I’ll be making the 9-hour drive to Denver and moving into my new place. There’s always next year. In the meantime, I can still make decorations for next year. My new place will be a lot smaller, so I won’t have room for a tree but I can still put up garland and lights. To make it easier on myself with moving I haven’t been doing a lot of shopping. Since I’m downsizing I’ve been focusing on decluttering and using things up. And one thing I have way too much off is felt. I use it a lot in my craft projects and it’s cheap, so I have piles of it.

Moon Phases Wall Hang

Moon Phases Wall Hang

I redid one of my nightstands and the wall behind it looked plain. So, I made a new wall hang out of leftover material. I went with the moon phases because I thought it would match the look of my new nightstand set up. Plus I knew it would be easy to put together, and I wouldn’t have to go to the store to pick up anything. I’m really frugal, so I like to use my creativity to create things on a budget. I search thrift stores, the bargain bins of craft stores, or around my apartment for materials. Then I think of things I can make out what I’ve found.

Lightsaber Wrist Rest

Lightsaber Wrist Rest

With it being the end of April and Star Wars Day is right around the corner, I thought I would share with you an easy Star Wars inspired craft project. This Lightsaber wrist rest is great for anyone who’s a fan of the franchise. And helps prevent injury while you’re working at your computer. I spend a lot of time on my computer, rather it writing blog posts, editing photos, or playing games on Steam. So, having a wrist rest for both my keyboard and mouse helps to alleviate the pressure across my carpel tunnel. They give my palms a comfortable resting spot that keeps my wrists elevated, and prevent reduced blood flow that can lead to that numb tingling feeling or long term injuries. So if you’re like me and spend a lot of time on your computer, and you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise, then add some geeky flair to your desk. With this Star Wars inspired Lightsaber keyboard wrist rest.
