Below the Line: How to Get Back Above the Line

There are days when everything feels harder than it should.

A small inconvenience becomes the thing that finally breaks you. A harmless comment feels personal. Your patience disappears. You start catastrophizing, shutting down, snapping at people, or convincing yourself that everything is going wrong.

You’re not necessarily having a bad life.

You’re having a below-the-line moment.

And honestly? We all have them.

The goal isn’t to never go below the line. That’s impossible. The goal is learning to recognize when you’ve crossed it—and knowing how to find your way back.

Body Image, Summer Clothes, and Existing in Public

There’s a specific dread that arrives with the first truly warm day.

Why Sunshine Isn’t a Cure

May 13, 2026 by Angela Louise No Comments

Every year it happens.

The sun comes out. The days get longer. People start saying things like:

“You must feel better now that it’s nice out.”

Because if the sunshine doesn’t fix you, what will?

How to Declutter Your Mind

How to Declutter Your Mind

There’s a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from having too many thoughts and nowhere to put them. Not big, dramatic thoughts—just the constant background noise. The mental tabs left open. The half-remembered to-do lists. The emotional clutter piling up behind your eyes.

When people say “declutter your mind,” they often mean wake up at 5 a.m., meditate for an hour, drink green juice, and transcend your humanity. That’s not what this is.

This is about making your brain a little quieter. A little roomier. A little easier to live in.

February Is for Being Gentle With Yourself

February 11, 2026 by Angela Louise 2 Comments
February Isn’t Just About Romance—It’s About Being Gentle With Yourself

February Is Loud About Love

Pink aisles. Heart-shaped everything. Ads that suggest love is only real if it’s romantic, loud, partnered, and perfectly curated.

And while I’m not anti-love (or anti-chocolate), February has a quiet way of turning into a measuring stick—of relationships, productivity, happiness, healing. It asks us to perform affection and progress at the same time, even when we’re already tired.

So this is your reminder: February doesn’t belong to romance alone.

It belongs to self-love, appreciation, and softness—especially when life has been heavy.
