There’s a lot of blogger awards out there and it’s always an honor to be nominated for one. I want to thank Kim from Kim’s DIY Tribe for nominating me for The Blogger Recognition Award. She’s a hard-working blogger who creates amazing DIY projects. Her vision is to transfer her blog into a digital DIY magazine complete with craft, decorating, homesteading, and cooking “how to’s”. Her post will inspire you to find your creative outlet, so whether you’re a beginner or a crafting pro head on over to Kim’s DIY Tribe for some creative inspiration. You can check out her Blogger Recognition Award post here.

How my Blog Started
I started my blog in 2018 as a hobby and a way to share my interests and connect with others with similar interests. Back then, my ex-husband was in the military, and I didn’t stay in the same place for long. So, it was difficult to make friends. Having a place to write about what was going on in my life, share ideas, and improve my writing was a huge confidence boost for me. And I was able to connect with a lot of amazing people. After my first year of blogging, I feel in love with it and decided to take it from hobby and try to turn it into a career. I’m not there yet, but blogging has opened a lot of doors for me and I don’t plan on giving up on my goal anytime soon.
Two Pieces of Advice for New Bloggers
The first piece of advice I would give to new bloggers is, what you put into your blog is what you’ll get out of it. So take the time to write quality content, leave authentic comments on other’s blog posts, and connect with your audience in meaningful ways.
As for my second piece of advice, don’t get caught up in focusing on numbers. In the beginning, you may not see a lot of views, and some posts won’t do as well as others. Focus on creating high-quality content that you can be proud of. And over time the views will start to pour in.
And the Nominees are…
Well, at first I was going to nominate some of my fellow bloggers, but all the bloggers that came to mind have already been nominated for the award before. So, anyone who hasn’t been nominated and would like to participate. I’m nominating you for The Blogger Recognition Award.
