The Encouraging blogger was created to recognize bloggers who encourage others with their posts. They may encourage others to try new things, have a positive mindset, overcome adversity, or travel. For example, an encouraging blogger may share helpful tips or encourage others to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. Many blogs are encouraging without realizing it. With this award bloggers nominate fellow bloggers, the nominees write a post answering a few questions and nominate other bloggers.

Who Nominated me?
One thing I love about blogging is being able to connect with others and those I’ve been able to connect with. Those within the blogging community are supportive and encouraging. They set aside time to read, share, and comment on each other’s blog posts. And one of those bloggers is Jimmy Clare from CrazyFitnessGuy. Jimmy was kind enough to include me in his nominees for the recently created Encouraging blogger award. He started his blog in April 2017 to educate others about methods to become happier and healthier that don’t require the use of medication. As well as his unique perspective of experiencing life with autism. His end goal is to become a public speaker, and he writes about various topics some being self-help, autism, and nutrition. So if you need some motivation or inspiration, then check out Jimmy Clare at CrazyFitnessGuy.
Thank you, Jimmy, for nominating me, it’s always an honor to be nominated for an award. There are days when blogging is difficult, but readers and bloggers like you remind me not to give up and keep me going.
The Questions
When and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in January 2018, because I wanted to share my interest and connect with others. I didn’t start off with the goal of wanting to encourage others but after a few months, I realized through blogging I have the power to share information that could. So I started writing more content about personal development while still sharing my interest.
What is your blog about?
My blog is a lifestyle blog, and with it, I want to encourage others to be their best selves and live a positive life. I cover different topics, like health and wellness, self-help, and share vegan/vegetarian recipes. I’m also a huge geek and love doing crafts. So I share DIY projects and geek-related content like gaming and convention recaps as well.
What is one piece of advice you would give to encourage new bloggers?
One piece of advice I’d give to new bloggers is don’t compare yourself to other bloggers. Everyone’s journey is different we all have different skill sets, writing styles, and niches. So don’t get caught up in worrying about what others are doing and focus on what you can do to improve your content.
Which is your favorite time-saving blogging tip or scheduling tool?
My favorite time-saving blogging tips is batching blog post. I started batching my content during my second year of blogging. It’s saved me a lot of time, and since I started doing it. I haven’t missed a post. Typically I try to write two posts a week and stay about a month ahead on my blogging content. I recently published a post with some tips on batching blog posts that has a free printable content planner, so if you want more information on batching blog posts you can check that out here.
What are your future goals for your blog?
My main goal for my blog is to keep growing it, and my audience. In the future, I’d like to be able to generate a sustainable income from it and make blogging my full-time job. But until then, I’ll continue to develop blog posts that’ll hopefully encourage others to live a happy, healthy, positive life.

Yep for sure the comparison to other bloggers.. I fall victim to this sometimes.
It’s easy to fall victim to, but important to remember that everyone’s journey is different.
Aww thank you so much for nominating me, Angela! I didn’t even realize you nominated me until I read this post haha! I agree with your tips!! I think since my several writing hiatuses (is that even a word), I’ve learned to be really chill with my blog and write whatever I want and not compare my blog to someone else’s. It’s so easy to do that but we aren’t all the same people, so we all have a unique selling point! I admit I lost sight of wanting to live off of my blog but that was one of my original goals from the start. I loved reading this post, and thanks again for the nomination , I can’t wait to write mine!
No problem! That’s the way to go to not stress yourself out by trying to meet a deadline each week. I can’t wait to read your post.
