Being someone who is new to the Kansas City area I’m always searching for things to do in the area. During one of my searches, I came across KC Game On. It is a not for profit group that host bi-monthly gaming events. It started off small but has grown over the years to include Kansas City’s premier gaming event KC Game Con. They offer free general admission to get people in the door so that they learn more about esports and understand the gaming culture. This past Saturday I visited KC Game Con and saw how much they had to offer to the Midwest gaming community. The KC Game Con had a lot to offer its guest.

If you’re someone who loves giving homemade gifts to others and need some ideas. This month I will be sharing some craft projects that will make great gifts for the holidays. All projects will be simple with materials you can pick up at your local craft store. The first project is this paw print pocket scarf it is easy to put together and makes a great gift. It’s nice and warm and you can slip your hands into it when you don’t have gloves. The paw prints add an extra bit of cuteness and pairs well with a hat with ears.

Goodbye November, Hello December

November has reached its end. And it was not an exciting month for me because I spent it sick. First with the stomach flu then a week later I caught the flu. But, between being sick, I did manage to paint the basement, two bedrooms, and the master bathroom. Originally for this month, I planned on tackling things on my home repair list. I did take care of a few things on my list but not as much as I planned. I didn’t cook a big Thanksgiving dinner either but I did do some shopping online. So here’s a quick rundown of my November.

Most people tend to reach for a cup of coffee for their morning energy. Although coffee does have its advantages drinking too much coffee can cause problems. Drinking more than 4 cups a day can cause headaches and make it harder for you to fall asleep at night. If you’re looking to cut back on coffee, you may want to consider replacing it with tea. It comes in many flavors, each having a unique taste.

Public speaking is a nerve-wracking experience. You feel anxious and your terrified that you’ll make a fool of yourself. But it’s not uncommon for people to have a fear of public speaking. Public speaking is scary especially when you tie in social pressure. It’s a normal fear that you can overcome.

You can lower your anxiety of public speaking and increase our confidence by avoiding a few poor habits while incorporating these helpful tips. The following are five tips for reducing public speaking nervousness. While the butterflies may never go away completely, there are still some things you can do to help clear your head before your big moment.
