All of these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Learn how to cope, sweet friend. Dealing with depression requires action but, when your feeling depressed taking action might be a difficult thing to do. When your feeling depressed, stressed, or anxious you may feel drained, hopeless, and a lack of drive. Making it difficult to take the steps needed to feel better. It’s important to start small and build from there. Feeling better isn’t an overnight process it takes time but, you can get there making positive choices. Take it one day at a time and soon you’ll find yourself lifted out of the fog of depression and feeling happier, healthier, and more hopeful. Next time you find yourself feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed try one of these coping strategies.

My Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle

Deciding to transition to a healthier lifestyle was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Four years ago I was overweight, out of shape, and depressed. I weighed over 200 lbs and most of what I ate came from a drive-through window. The only form of daily exercise I got was walking from the couch to the fridge. I was depressed and began to become fed up with my current situation. I wasn’t living a healthy life at all, I was miserable and making poor health choices. So I decided to transition to a healthier lifestyle.
