“When you’re at the gym feeling like you’ll never be one of those people who look like they’ve been at it their entire lives, remember that they all started somewhere.”
The hardest part of getting in shape is getting started. But getting started at the gym is a bit rough but everyone has to start somewhere. It’s often intimating when you first start going to the gym. You see people who are in shape and confident in what they’re doing but, you have no idea of what you’re doing or where to start.
“It’s not just about losing the weight; it’s about losing the lifestyle and mindset that got you there.” -Dr. Steve Maraboli
Deciding to transition to a healthier lifestyle was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Four years ago I was overweight, out of shape, and depressed. I weighed over 200 lbs and most of what I ate came from a drive-through window. The only form of daily exercise I got was walking from the couch to the fridge. I was depressed and began to become fed up with my current situation. I wasn’t living a healthy life at all, I was miserable and making poor health choices. So I decided to transition to a healthier lifestyle.
