10 Indie Games Every Story Lover Should Play

Some games are all about high scores, fast reflexes, and nonstop action.

Others tell stories that stay with you long after the credits roll.

The Book of Murmurs Review | A Beautiful Fantasy Graphic Novel

July 22, 2026 by Angela Louise No Comments
The Book of Murmurs Review

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Some graphic novels impress you with their artwork.

Others captivate you with their storytelling.

The Book of Murmurs by Candice Purwin attempts to do both, creating a lush fantasy world filled with witches, magical creatures, folklore, and emotional themes of grief and identity. While its breathtaking artwork and imaginative world-building make it unforgettable, the story occasionally becomes tangled in its own mythology.

February Is for Being Gentle With Yourself

So this is your reminder: February doesn’t belong to romance alone.

It belongs to self-love, appreciation, and softness—especially when life has been heavy.

Book Review: The Glass Girl by Kathleen Glasgow

November 26, 2025 by Angela Louise No Comments

What is The Glass Girl
The Glass Girl follows 15-year-old Bella, who uses alcohol like armor — or anesthetic — to cope with grief, family pressure, the chaos of adolescence, and loss. Her life gets unravelling fast: her grandmother (the one person who didn’t ask things of her) dies; her parents are divorced and emotionally unavailable; she’s the “go-to” in her family.

After a blackout at a Thanksgiving party lands her in the hospital, Bella is sent to rehab, where Glasgow forces her to confront what she’s been trying to escape — and whether recovery actually means anything if the world around you stays the same.

The Soft Girl’s Guide to Surviving Burnout in a Hard World

November 19, 2025 by Angela Louise 2 Comments

You know that kind of tired that sleep can’t fix? That’s burnout — and for soft girls like us, it hits a little differently.
We’re the feelers, the nurturers, the ones who want to show up for everyone (and somehow still look cute doing it). But somewhere between late-night overthinking and early-morning alarms, we forget that softness isn’t weakness — it’s what makes us human.
