When people find themselves in situations of high stress, they tend to feel anxious and resort to fidgeting. It may be clicking a pen, tapping a pencil, or biting your nails. It is how your subconscious reacts to keep your mind from being overwhelmed by the triggers of stress. That’s when fidget toys come in handy. They can help you calm your nerves in stressful situations, by shifting your focus and temporarily freeing your mind from stress triggers.
There are all kinds of fidget toys to choose from, that it might seem like finding the right toy is impossible. Regardless, there are some factors worth considering when deciding on a fidget toy.
First would be the movement type and how it feels in your grasp, do you spin it, flick it, squeeze, or pull. Some movement types may appeal to you more than others. For example, if you click your pen when you’re anxious, look a toy that has a movement similar to that.
After that, look at the features of the fidget toy. What materials is it made of, and what features does it have, does it glow, use essential oils, or make noises. Make sure it feels comfortable in your grasp, and it won’t be a distraction to when you’re using it in a public setting.
The last factor you’ll want to consider is durability. You’re going to want a fidget toy that is going to last. So look for something that isn’t going to wear after frequent use. Try to stay away from cheap fidget toys since they may have quilty issues and break after a few uses.
You can find fidget toys at toy stores and online stores like Amazon. It can be overwhelming sorting through all the different options so, I’ve put together a list of the most recommended fidget toys for stress and anxiety.

Pin Me!
I don’t really have to worry about biting my fingernails (I used to do that when I was younger) or anything so I never needed a fidget spinner of any sort, but I never realized how many kinds there were! I always only see one kind that spins and has like three spokes. I didn’t know there was a cube and squeeze bean. Sounds and looks cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by. I used to bite my nails when I was younger too but don’t anymore. Yeah, they’re a lot to choose from the fidget controller and the squeeze bean. They come in handy at the dentist and make the process less terrible.
