Sometimes life gets busy, and you forget to plan out your Halloween costume. And, there’s not a lot to choose from at your local Halloween stores. Luckily, there are lots of last-minute Halloween costumes that are easy to throw together. So I put together a list of 5 that you can throw together with things from your closet and a quick trip to the craft store. These crafted costumes will be a hit at any party, or just something simple to wear while you’re handing out candy. So, get out your hot glue gun and scissors and try crafting one of these last-minute Halloween costumes.

Last-Minute Halloween Costumes
Minnie Mouse
What you’ll need
- Black Headband
- Craft felt (red and black)
- Hot Glue Gun
- a cardboard box or foam poster board
- Red Skirt
- Black T-Shirt
- Pattern for Ears
How to make the ears
- Trace ear pattern on to a piece of cardboard or a foam poster board. If you are using a thick headband you’ll need 2-3 ear shapes for each side. If you’re using a thin headband you’ll need 1-2 ear shapes for each side. Stack however many you’ll need and glue them together. Then set them aside.
- Next, trace the ear pattern on to the black felt. You’ll need 4. After that glue the felt to the front and back of each cardboard/foamboard ear. Then cut strips of black felt to cover the outer of the edge leaving the part that’ll be attached to the headband uncovered.
- After that, position your ears where you’d like and glue them in place. Next, trace and cut the pieces for the bow. Lastly, place the larger piece where you’d like it to on the headband and pinch it in the middle, and wrap the smaller piece around it and glue it into place.
Burglar
What you’ll need

- Striped Black and White Shirt
- Black Pants or Leggings
- Black Beanie
- Craft felt (black)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Elastic
- Burglar Mask Pattern
How to make the mask
- Start by tracing the pattern on to a black piece of felt. Then put the mask over your face to make sure that it fits and make any adjustments if needed. Measure out a piece of elastic that’ll fit your head and punch a small hole and attach the black elastic. A few simple hand stitches will hold it in place.
Supergirl
What you’ll need
- Red Skirt
- Blue Shirt
- Craft Felt
- Hot Glue or Fabric Glue
- Supergirl “S” Logo Pattern
How to make Supergirl “S” logo
- Cut out each shape from the pattern provided. The glue it together to make the “S” logo. Put on the shirt you’ll be using and place where you’d like it to go and pin it into place. Lastly, take off the shirt and glue it to the shirt.
Flapper
What you’ll need

- Black Sleeveless Swing Dress
- Black Fringe Trim
- Hot Glue Gun
- Beaded Stretchy Headband
For the dress
- Measure the fringe, pin, and cut. Make sure the fringe is in a straight line across the dress before gluing it into place.
Princess Peach Tennis
What you’ll need
- Pink Dress
- Craft Foam
- Headband or 2 Duckbill Hair Clips
- Brooch Pin
- Hot Glue Gun
- Crown and Brooch Pattern
How to make the crown and brooch- For the Crown: Trace the pattern on to a sheet of craft then cut it out. After that glue, the ovals to the crown and glue the crown ends together. Once the glue had dried, glue it to a headband our 2 duckbill paper clips.
- For the Brooch: Trace out and cut the two ovals from the pattern, then glue them together, and lastly glue brooch to a brooch pin.
