January 2019 Wrap-Up

Hello, 2019!

The new year is just getting started. And I kicked the new year off with Veganuary, going to see my 5th Cirque Du Soleil show, and trying a new restaurant. I also knocked out more of my home improvement projects. And made plans for February. So here’s my wrap-up of January 2019.

A Look Back at 2018: My First Year of Blogging

Goodbye 2018 and Hello 2019

2018 has come to an end. It wasn’t the greatest year but there are some moments that I can look back on fondly. I spent time with my sister and saw one of my favorite bands in concert. I went to my first ever light festival, got a hedgehog, and bought my very first home. But there is one thing I wanna look back at and that’s my first year of blogging. I’ve learned a lot my first year of blogging some of which I wish I knew before I started. So I wanted to share some of the things I learned my first year of blogging along long with my plans moving forward for my blog.

November Wrap-Up

weird love November recap
Goodbye November, Hello December

November has reached its end. And it was not an exciting month for me because I spent it sick. First with the stomach flu then a week later I caught the flu. But, between being sick, I did manage to paint the basement, two bedrooms, and the master bathroom. Originally for this month, I planned on tackling things on my home repair list. I did take care of a few things on my list but not as much as I planned. I didn’t cook a big Thanksgiving dinner either but I did do some shopping online. So here’s a quick rundown of my November.

Weird-Louise-October-Recap

My October

October is my favorite month. It starts cooling down, there’s pumpkin-flavored everything and Halloween. I spent most of my October planing home repairs and for the upcoming holiday season. But things are a lot less hectic after getting settled into the new home. So I was able to enjoy the month of October. I went to Kansas City’s Japan Cultural Festival and saw the Kansas CIty’s ballet production of The Wizard of OZ. I also was able to put together a costume for Halloween and hand out candy. Overall I’m glad I got a chance to enjoy my favorite month especially after having a busy September.

September Wrap-Up

September Recap

September was super busy for me. I spent most of the month working and moving but, was able to get out to the renaissance festival and have a little fun. It was also Finn and I’s first month together. Even though my September wasn’t very eventful I’m really looking forward to October I have a few things planned this month and I’m excited to decorate my house for Halloween and meet more of my new neighbors.
