There are lots of compelling reasons for why we should eat healthily. It’s fundamental to our overall well-being, reduces our risk of health issues, and helps us maintain a healthy weight. And that’s only to name a few, with perks like that you’d think would be no problem finding the motivation to eat healthily. However, that’s not the case. There’s stress, temptation, and excessive diet advice out there lurking. Causing us to default to old habits, because we end up focusing on trying to achieve perfection which doesn’t exist. Even though creating healthy eating habits may seem impossible to stick to. It’s still doable, by shifting your focus to creating healthy lifestyle habits over time. Small Batch Vegan Brownie Cookies

Small Batch Vegan Brownie Cookies

Homebaked cookies are way better than store-bought cookies any day. But sometimes you don’t have anyone to share a fresh batch of cookies with, and you end up with way more than you can eat. That’s when small batch recipes come in handy. I love a fresh batch of cookies with a glass of non-dairy milk or non-dairy ice cream as a weekend treat. But there’s no way I can eat over a dozen cookies all by myself. So I often like to bake small batches of cookies so I have just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. And these vegan brownie cookies are just that. They taste like a brownie, soft, chewy, and go great with a glass of non-dairy milk or ice cream.

A Review of Nothing is Strange

Review of Nothing is Strange
“My life appeared strange because it was one way and not another. Only if it had been every possibility at once would it have not appeared strange. And that is what I am now: every possibility at once. And nothing is strange.” -Mike Russell, Nothing is Strange

I’m a sucker for the strange, weird, and bizarre. So when StangeBooks reached out to me to review Mike Russel’s ‘Nothing Is Strange,’ I couldn’t resist. It’s a collection of short stories from UK author Mike Russell. He’s a full-time author, who’s made his home at StrangeBooks. Through independently publishing, Mike Russell can bring books to readers that are beyond the mainstream. In these twenty short stories, everything is strange, and they offer something you have to experience for yourself. So let’s take a deeper look inside the pages of Mike Russell’s ‘Nothing Is Strange.’

How to Quiet Negative self-talk

How to Quiet Negative self-talk

The way we talk to ourselves makes a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves. We all have an inner voice, and at times it can be helpful by encouraging us to reach our goals or warn us before making a bad decision. This kind of inner dialogue is called positive self-talk. Even though our inner voice is helpful, it also can often be more harmful than helpful when it gets into the realm of excessive negativity. Better known as negative self-talk and is harmful to our mental health. It’s something that most of us experience from time to time, and it comes in many forms creating stress in our lives. Now that we know the two types of self-talk. Let’s take a closer look at the differences.

Fairyland, but make it completely unhinged. 🧚‍♀️🪓💀 Fairyland, but make it completely unhinged. 🧚‍♀️🪓💀
Gert has been trapped in Fairyland for 30+ years, and all she wants is to go home. Unfortunately, between terrifying fairies, a blood-soaked battle axe, a chain-smoking fly, and slowly losing her mind… things aren’t exactly going according to plan. 😂📚

Honestly, this might be the most chaotic fairy tale I’ve ever picked up—and I’m here for it. ✨🍄

📚🕯️ Book Review: The Keeper by Jessica Moor This 📚🕯️ Book Review: The Keeper by Jessica Moor

This one was a dark and gripping read. The Keeper pulls you into a story filled with secrets, trauma, and the complicated ways people can be shaped by their past. I found myself wanting to keep turning the pages to uncover what was really happening beneath the surface.

It’s the kind of book that stays with you after you put it down—thought-provoking, unsettling, and definitely not a light read. If you enjoy psychological fiction with darker themes and plenty to think about, this one is worth adding to your TBR. 🖤📖
