The Lights Festival

The lights festival is an experience where thousands of people gather to listen to music, fill up on good food, and light up the night sky. Its focus on creating a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience for all of their guest. Upon entry of the event, you’re given a lantern, marker, and lights festival wristband. While you wait for the sun to set you can draw on your lantern, enjoy food from local food trucks, and listen to live music. Once it gets dark and the local fire marshal gives the OK then the magic happens and thousands of paper lanterns ascend into the night sky. Check out their website to learn more here.

When people think of date night they tend to think of going out to a fancy restaurant and seeing a movie afterward. While there is nothing wrong with the cliché dinner and movie for some couples going out for dates isn’t within their budget. Dinner at a reasonably priced restaurant ranges anywhere between $30-$40 plus a tip. Movie ticket prices are around $10-$15 per person not to mention the price of snacks like popcorn, drinks, and candy. If you’re a couple that’s trying to pay off debt or trying to save money spending that amount of money on a weekly basis isn’t really doable.

I’ve been married for five years and my husband and I have a lot in common. We both enjoy playing videos games, traveling, and watching movies. One thing that we don’t have in common is our diet choices. I’ve been a vegetarian for about two years now and, he’s an omnivore. When it comes to picking restaurants and meal planning it is difficult to find common ground. In the beginning, it wasn’t an easy task trying to make our mixed diet household work. I found myself often not knowing what to prepare for meals or what restaurants to dine at.
