My first time trying Korean food was with my good friend Ray. One of the restaurants that we would often visit was Huapei. A little hole in the wall restaurant located near Mt. Cedar and Mt. Hope in Lansing, MI. My favorite dish was their Huapei Chicken. The flavor was a mix of sweet and spicy. It was unique and I had never had anything close to it at any other restaurants. I no longer live in Michigan and I’m now a vegetarian. I still speak with my friend Ray occasional and we reminisce about the time we spent together and all the delicious food we had. After one of our conversations, I wanted to try to recreate the Huapei Chicken but make it vegetarian.

Parkville Nature Sanctuary

March 21, 2018 by Angela Louise No Comments
“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” -John Muir
The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve and educational site developed and maintained by Parkville, MO with the help of volunteers. Parkville, MO is a historic river town located 5 miles north of downtown Kansas City. The City of Parkville is best known for its antique shops, art galleries, and historic downtown.  I only live about 10 minutes from the nature sanctuary. With the weather getting warmer and my recent purchase of the iPhone X, I’ve been wanting to get out more so I could test out the camera on my new phone. In addition to temperatures being in the 60s, and this being my last Saturday off from work for a while. I decided to check out the Parkville Nature Sanctuary and test out my new iPhone.

Great Indie Games You Might Have Missed

It’s easy to miss out on great indie games when Triple-A games hog the spotlight. Through Platforms such as Steam, it has become easier for indie game developers to get their games noticed. Even with limited resources, small developers are still able to produce a quality experience for players. By putting lots of creativity into their games. Yet, there are some gamers who are unaware of some of the amazing indie games out there for less than the cost of a Triple-A game. So here are a few indie games that you might have missed out on.

Overwatch Pachimari Throw Pillow

February 28, 2018 by Angela Louise 1 Comment

Overwatch has occupied a lot of my time lately because of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Dog event, and the new skins. Last summer I made a D.va inspired throw pillow and, asked for suggestions on what other Overwatch characters I should do. One of the suggestions was that I do a Pachimari. So I decided to get rid of some remnants left over from other projects and finally make a Pachimari throw pillow. The pattern for this project is inspired by one of the Pachimari player icons. It’s a simple project that’s great for beginners who are still working on sewing straight lines. This project doesn’t require a lot of supplies or material to make.
