Animal Crossing Bell Bag Christmas Stocking

December 11, 2019 by Angela Louise 8 Comments
Animal Crossing Bell Bag Christmas Stocking

Why buy a Christmas stocking this year when you can make your own. And have one inspired by the bell bag in Animal Crossing instead of a generic boring stocking. This year I’m shaking things up and ditching my traditional holiday decor. And, making geeky video games inspired holiday decor. And to kick things off I starting with a new stocking to hang by the fireplace with care. Animal Crossing is one of my favorite games to play when I’m looking to relax. It’s simple, cute, and creative. You can arrange things to fit your taste and there’s no shortage of things to do in town once you’re settled. I’m looking forward to the release of Animal Crossing New Horizons on Switch and checking out Tom Nook’s new business venture. But until then I’ve got a cute new Animal Crossing inspired Christmas stocking. So if you’re a fan too and new to sewing then this sewing project is for you.

Easy Felt Halloween Wreath DIY

Easy Felt Halloween Wreath DIY

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I’ve been in the decorating mood. It’s a busy month for me, so I’m not going to go full out like I usually do. Instead, I’m keeping things simple and just decorating the front door. The wreath I usually use, has glitter on it and it gets everywhere, and I didn’t want to spend the month cleaning up glitter. So, I decided to make a new one and donate the old one. And, since this is going to be a busy month I didn’t want the new wreath to complicated.  After digging in my craft closet and brainstorming I came up with this easy Halloween wreath. It can put together in a couple of hours and adds a touch of Haloween to my front door. So, if you’re looking to give your front door a dose of spooky this year, try this easy to make Halloween wreath.

Paper Mache Bookshelf Sign DIY

Paper Mache Bookshelf Sign DIY

It’s summer, which means blue skies, bright-colored clothing, and all the freshest fruit recipes. It also means that a good majority of the world in which we live are traveling to exciting places, and as a book lover, there are no better areas to visit than the settings of some of the most-read classics. Invaluable created a map of every travel-enthused bibliophile’s dream: the most-used global locations in literature based on title and author recognition. From the English countryside to the bustling streets of New York City, plan a trip to see some of the landmarks that inspire your favorite books and use the map as a guide and inspiration for your next travels. While I was reading through Invaluable’s The Best Literary Settings in Classic Literature article I was inspired to create another bookish inspired craft project using paper mache letters.

PlayStation Buttons Coaster Set DIY

PlayStation Buttons Coaster Set DIY

I was in need of a new set of coasters for my office after my mini pallet coasters started to fall apart. So searched the internet for something cool but after a half an hour of searching, I didn’t find anything worth buying. Then while I was digging through my craft supplies I found a pack of wood circles and decided to make a set of coasters. I went through a few ideas in my head before deciding on a set of PlayStation buttons. So I dug through my box of acrylic paint for the right colors, created a template for the shapes in photoshop, and started on work on my new coaster set. They were easy to make and pair well with the decor of my office.

So if you’re looking for a new coaster set or a gamer looking to add some flair to your game room, give this project a try.
