Halloween is right around the corner, and there’s no better time to get into a good horror game. Visual novel games aren’t a popular genre but bring something different to the horror video game genre. For some, visual novel horror games may not seem as exciting because they’re not as interactive. Instead of playing as a character who’s running for their life. Your reading through a story, paying close attention to clues, solving puzzles, and making decisions that’ll affect the outcome of the story. And if the story isn’t enough to keep you up at night then the chilling illustrations will. Even though, they’re not as interactive as typical video games. They still immerse the player into the story by relying on visuals, music, and telling a compelling story.
