A Review of Strange Medicine

A Review of Strange Medicine
Synopsis: We recommend the following prescription: Strange Medicine – weird and wonderful stories for all that ails you. Strange Medicine is a fantastic collection of extraordinary tales of transformation by UK weird-fiction author Mike Russell. If you love the strange, surreal and unusual, or if you are just looking for something different, Strange Medicine is for you.

Firstly, I’d like to thank the author, Mike Russell for sending a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This isn’t the first time Mike Russell has taken me on a journey into his strange world. I’ve previously reviewed his first book ‘Nothing is Strange.’ So might think, I’d be prepared to go on another strange journey into Mike Russell’s Stange Medicine. But, you’d be mistaken. Strange Medicine is a collection of eight short stories, each progressively weirder than the next. And it’s great for those who enjoy zany and macabre stories and are looking for a short read.

A Review of Nothing is Strange

Review of Nothing is Strange
“My life appeared strange because it was one way and not another. Only if it had been every possibility at once would it have not appeared strange. And that is what I am now: every possibility at once. And nothing is strange.” -Mike Russell, Nothing is Strange

I’m a sucker for the strange, weird, and bizarre. So when StangeBooks reached out to me to review Mike Russel’s ‘Nothing Is Strange,’ I couldn’t resist. It’s a collection of short stories from UK author Mike Russell. He’s a full-time author, who’s made his home at StrangeBooks. Through independently publishing, Mike Russell can bring books to readers that are beyond the mainstream. In these twenty short stories, everything is strange, and they offer something you have to experience for yourself. So let’s take a deeper look inside the pages of Mike Russell’s ‘Nothing Is Strange.’

5 Video Games that Feature Strong Female Protagonist

Women haven’t always gotten the red carpet treatment when it comes to their roles in video games. They have been overlooked, inserted as poorly written fan service, or a damsel in need of saving. But things have changed over the years, and it’s more than indie studios creating games with female protagonists. Larger developers and publishers are recognizing that women enjoy playing video games just as much as men. And that games featuring strong female protagonists are just as sellable as those featuring men. It’s apart of a growing trend that branches away from the norm. Giving girls the chance to see themselves as more than a princess in need of saving, but as someone who’s courageous and has the power to overcome the odds. So, let’s take a look at some great games that feature an equally great female protagonist.
