Dear Kansas City, it’s Over and I’m Moving on

Dear Kansas City it's Over and I'm Moving on

When I moved to Kansas City about three years ago, I had hopes of settling down. I’ve lived in seven different states. Growing up my dad’s job had my family moving every few years. We ended up settling down in Michigan. Where I meet my now ex-husband, he was in the military so that called for moving every couple of years. When he finished his term, we left Tennessee for Missouri with the intention of making it home and buying a house. It was something I was looking forward to, I’d be able to get involved around the city, making new friends, and no more apartments. After a few months in Kansas City, I started to rethink my original plan. It went from a place that I’d call home to the place that broke me.

July wrap-up

Wow, where did the summer go? I can’t believe it’s already August and people are starting to head back to school. July wasn’t the best, but it was an eye-opening month. And I figured out what steps I need to take to put myself on the path to living a happier life. I also worked more on cosplays. So here’s my wrap-up of July and what I have planned for August.

May Warp-up: The Month Flew by

May flew by for me, so I didn’t get a chance to tackle any of my goals last month. My state started opening back up and the temp job I was working at for the stay at home order asked me to return to work for a few days. So then I rushed to get ready for that and to make sure everything was in order. Even though I didn’t tackle my goals for the month I did check out a state park and made a new cosplay.

January wrap-up: how I started 2020

I spent the last few weeks of 2019 with the flu. But, while I was sick in bed I had a lot of time to do some reflecting on the year. After opening my journal to a blank page, I wrote about what I liked from the past year and what I didn’t like. Once I reflected on those things, I then thought and wrote about the changes I could make to have an even better year. So here are a few of the changes I made for 2020, how my January went, as well as my February goals.

November 2019 Wrap-up

December 2, 2019 by Angela Louise 2 Comments
November 2019 Recap

November flew by, and I can’t believe 2019 is nearly over. I kicked off the month with a trip to Michigan for Youmacon and visited my family. After that, I took some time to relax and recharge my batteries. I did some painting and caught up on anime and other TV series. Then ended the month with some canceled plans and the materials for a new hobby. So here’s what I did in November as well as my plans for December.

Overview:

Nature-loving loner Valentina lives in a small, cozy cabin in the middle of the forest with her dog Sopa. Every night, she has a dream: she lives isolated on another planet with Ane, her partner. And although everything is too strange, too white and too silent, it seems that Ane and Valentina are made for each other. But is Ane real? To what extent is this alternative reality a dream?
