Meditation

Mediation is easy, accessible, and my favorite way to practice spiritual self-care. It reduces stress and can also give you a clear connection to who you are and what you in life. If you’re new to meditation you can find lots of YouTube videos that’ll guide you through the process and even incorporate crystals to balance your chakras.

Spend some time in Nature

“In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks.” ― John Muir
Spending time in nature is healing. The fresh air and sounds of birds, or trees swaying in the wind. Will not only calm you but bring your senses to life. When you feel disconnected, time in nature can help. Practice being in the moment and experience something greater than yourself.

Volunteer

Through volunteering, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with your community. And find people with shared ideas and interests. Sometimes our lifestyles don’t foster connection and we isolate ourselves. But through volunteering, we are able to step out of comfort zones and make new connections. It’s also a rewarding experience giving something back to the community, and help to cultivate gratitude.

Take a Bath

Light some candles, throw on some relaxing music and grab some of your favorite Epsom salt or bubble bath. Taking a relaxing bath after a long day is a great way to let go of the stress of the day.

Log Off Social Media

While there is both an upside and a downside to social media. Its always good to unplug for a little while and recharge. Take time offline to focus on hobbies that don’t use the internet. Forget about likes or who’s following who, and focus on doing something in the real world.

Yoga

Harmonize your body, mind, and spirit with yoga. You can tailor it to your needs, time, and level. It helps you connect with your body and emotions stored deep within. It’s non-judgmental and encourages you to accept where you are in life and build a strong foundation.

Practice Forgiveness

No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. And life is too short to spend it dwelling on past mistakes. Being unable to let go of grudges or forgive yourself. Will only hold your back and steal your joy. So instead of putting your energy into something that doesn’t add value to your life. Lighten your load and out your energy into things that add value to your life and forgive.

Through spiritual self-care, you’re taking a journey to discover your true self. It takes a concentrated effort to explore the truths of you are a create a strong bond with your true self. Start off simple and incorporate a couple of spiritual self-care ideas into your routine. And if something doesn’t work for you, replace it with something else. It’s your self-care plan, so stay true to yourself and create something that works for you.
