Reprogramming your mind for Greatness

Are you living the life you’ve always wanted, or are you settling for less? If you’re feeling stuck or you’ve hit a plateau, know that it is never too late to make changes. You can reprogram your mind to give you the focus and determination it takes to design your dream life. When it comes to what we deserve in life, most of us have a vague perception of what that is. When things don’t go our way, we often get frustrated or upset.

The discontent that comes from life’s setbacks can be powerful and spark change. Typically our subconscious mind works against us. We end up sabotaging ourselves by turning frustration against ourselves. We start strong and take action towards achieving what we deserve. Instead of keeping on the path of betterment, we drop down to where we think we belong. It’s not about what we can do in life, but about what we will do. If you want to live the life you desire, then it’s time to take control of your mind and set your sights on something better.

The Subconscious Mind

Our subconscious is the part of our minds that makes decisions without actively thinking about them. While the conscious mind is the thoughts we know we are having, and the unconscious mind holds on to past events we don’t remember.

A good example of the subconscious mind is learning to ride a bike. At first, you have to think about keeping your balance and peddling, but as you practice, it becomes natural. You can get on a bike and ride it without much thought. The subconscious mind goes beyond learning new skills. It determines how we process information, and affects what we think, say, and do. It’s where our beliefs and values are stored. As well as, monitored the information all around and determines where to store it for later.

Shifting Mindsets

When reprogramming your mind, there are three major steps. These three steps will shift your mindset and point you in the right direction. Greatness doesn’t happen overnight, and you have to decide, commit, and find solutions or whatever comes your way.

Step one: Decide

With the first step comes clarity. Decide what you want, the more detailed the better. As a result, your vision will become stronger. It creates a subconscious mind gap that gives your brain the tools to turn your vision into reality.

Step two: Commit

Fear is what often keeps people from taking action. We all have fear, and it’s the biggest trap. It can keep us where we are, and block our path. If you always live in fear then you’ll never move forward. Commit to yourself, and have faith. When you fully commit, and cut off any other possibilities, and push yourself to the next level.

Step three: Intention

After you’ve decided on your path, and committed fully, check-in with yourself. Direct your mind towards what’s working and what’s not working. Then make changes as needed. Set the intention to develop the ability to change your approach to problems as needed. Life comes with challenges, so learn from mistakes, embrace failure, and use frustration to drive change.

How to know if it’s working

As you make changes, it’s important to check in with yourself. To know if the steps are working or not. If you find yourself becoming self-aware. Signs of self-awareness include shifting focus at will, controlling emotions, and getting better at stopping negative self-talk. Another sign is taking more risks and not letting limiting beliefs stand in your way. Your confidence increases, and you find yourself stepping out of your comfort zone more. Lastly, you’re attracting more positivity into your life. Reprogramming your mind to think positively can bring more positive things into your life.
